French and English invoices for your Shopify orders, with TPS and TVQ on their own lines
Bilingual Invoices makes one invoice in both official languages for any order: French first and the same size, each Canadian sales tax on its own line, and your GST/HST and QST numbers beside them. No template code to edit.
What it makes
Invoices
Your legal name and address, the customer's name and address, items, discounts, shipping, each tax, the total and the terms of payment.
Packing slips
The items, SKUs and quantities to pack, with the shipping address, and no prices.
Taxes on separate lines
TPS/GST, TVH/HST, TVQ/QST and PST each with its rate and the registration number that goes with it.
Both languages, one page
French first by default, the same size as English. Amounts are written the way the first language writes them.
How it works
- Install the app and enter your legal name, address and registration numbers once.
- Pick an order, or search for one by number or customer.
- Download the invoice or the packing slip as a PDF.

Questions
Does it calculate my taxes?
No. Shopify charges the taxes, using your tax settings. The invoice shows what was charged on the order, each tax on its own line with its rate. Check your tax settings with your accountant.
Is French really first?
By default, yes, and both languages are the same size on one page: Quebec's language law asks for French to be at least as prominent as any other language on an invoice. Sellers outside Quebec can put English first.
Which orders can I invoice?
Any order from the last 60 days, which is what Shopify lets the app read. Search by order number, customer name or email.
Does it store my customers’ data?
No. The app reads an order when you ask for its invoice or packing slip, makes the PDF, and keeps nothing. It stores only your business details and the access Shopify gives it.
Does it email invoices to customers?
Not yet. You download the PDF and send or print it yourself.
